Lovely photos, as ever. Torn is wonderful! Sweet, well, now I've got a craving for candy!

Amazing how this challenge creeps into everything you do, isn't it? I was about to start mending this skirt on Sunday and realised what I was doing.
My hubby just raised an eyebrow, as I stopped and reached for the camera. Nothing is excluded, I told him. For some reason, he went away!

I understand! A few evenings ago, we were watching TV in our room, and I looked over at my hubby's side of the bed and Rochester was peeking over the covers. I reached for my camera (which is going everywhere with me), took the photo & got my picture for shy!

I loved that picture - such soulful eyes! I'm not really a dog person, it's always been cats for me, but I could just find room in my heart for a Rochester.

I love torn, especially with the sewing machine in the background...

Thank you - it seemed very appropriate to include the sewing machine. Because it would never have occurred to me before this challenge to try to take pictures to such an obscure concept as torn, I suppose I am learning to use other elements in the picture to complete the story. Which is great!
I found myself today noting that there is a class on digital photography at a college nearby and wondering whether I might enjoy it. As a direct result of this challenge. I do love to learn new things!

Torn is excellent - the texture of the material, the present damage in sharp focus and the sewing machine softer in the background, promising future repair. Well done!

Thank you very much.
I was really pleased how this came out and even got round to mending the skirt which has been hanging around for ages! I love the fabric and the texture photographed even better than I expected.

Oooh, nice. Love 'torn' in particular. Mind you, the sweets look scrummy too - and it's driving me nuts, Rosie, what do we call those sweets in England? Jelly bean men? No, that's not it - dman, been away toooo long now.*g*

Jelly babies! Yes, you remember now, don't you! And there are some squishy bottle things and some candy bananas down at the bottom - nostalgia, eh? ;-)

Glad you like the pics - finding pictures to fit the words has been great fun, it's just that I keep finding myself stopping what I am doing because it suddenly occurs to me that something will fit one of the more elusive words. (I expect my neighbour is still wondering why I stopped the car this morning 100 yards after I left my drive to take a picture of the ladder leaning on his wall - ah! Got "Against" at last!)

Hope things are okay where you are in Turkey, I was watching the news about the troops with interest and concern, earlier in the week.

Yes, jelly babies - thank you!!

Kind of a tense waiting game at the moment. We've got a lot more planes zipping overhead to and from the American Air base, and there is the feeling that *smth* is underway - just when and what we're waiting to see.

There is something odd going on with LJ and comments at the moment, as this one didn't arrive in my Inbox, so I didn't see it until I came to check something else. Very strange. So sorry for ignoring you!
Or maybe 100_snapshots is just generating so much traffic they can't cope!
Yes, the BBC news is full of Turkey and the border problems again tonight. Hope it stays peaceful where you are. Take care.
