WEEKLY THEME: FIC TECHNIQUES
DAY 1: PROLOGUE
Oh my gosh, you guys, we have made it to the final week of our Give It A Whirl challenge! And for our last theme, we're going to be looking at different fic techniques (not sure if that's really the word that best embodies what I mean, but we're going to be going over different elements you can incorporate in or try out on your fics).
First up is a prologue. Which is: a separate introductory section of a literary work that comes before the main narrative. It sets the stage for the story or provides background information about the characters, setting, or events.
For this, take a fic you've already written and try writing a prologue. Or write one for a fic you have yet to write. The choice is yours!
Extra weekly challenge:
Come up with an idea for your fic, or pick a fic you've written before, and use that fic as the foundation throughout the week!
You can create and submit your fic any time before the end of the challenge! Please post or link it in the comments!
