A quiet weekend at home. That's what. For the past...2 or 3 weekends, I've been gone nearly the entire weekend. I've got stuff I need to catch up on - like laundry and cleaning my fish tank. It looks as though it'll be super sunny and nice this weekend as well, so I'm also hoping to get in a bit of suntanning. Not a lot, cuz I don't want a burn,

I was really sad this past Christmas because it was the first since my parents' separation. It was depressing to know that the last one we all spent together will be forever the last.. But it was in my dad's parents house, which is characteristically old like your grandma's apparently was. What's sad about that house is my grand father is going to be 81 this year--they've had this house since 1956 when my dad was 6 months old. It's got a great big garden out back that my grand father tends, but he is so crippled with arthritis that I can feel that the end is near. My grand parents are old traditional Italians, whose parents died on the farm. They intend to do the same and it's scary. I can't imagine the day when that house is empty. The world can't live without it, you know? It was always there. But then again, my parents were always married, too.

Yeah...big changes like that are always strange and depressing and sad. The first Christmas that we spent at our own house instead of at my grandma's was a little sad for me...and the Christmas after my grandpa passed away. Stuff like that is tough on the emotions.
