Last week we spent a few days back in Berlin. First night we stayed in a hotel close to the house we're buying (they had the most incredible black beer in the bar, we drank way too much!), it gave us chance to look around the area lots and see how the people were too. It's great that you still like the place so much! I'm sure you'll be really happy there. That barracks sounds cool, I like stuff like that. I know it's tempting, but be careful - you don't want to be arrested within your first month as a resident of Germany, hahaha!

Good to hear that things are progressing well, and soon the house will be yours! Lucky you - having all those great biergartens to drink in. I tend to drink quite a bit of beer when I'm there, it's one of the great things about the place!

LOL true it won't be good to get arrested so soon after we move in! But I keep seeing piccies of loads of derelict buildings round Berlin which I so want to see, I just love derelict buildings, I never want them to be renovated!

aahhh yes a good idea to follow the kitties path! I always fancied putting a camera on them to see what they get up to, but 23 hours a day would just be a picutre of the bedroom ceiling or something whilst they sleep.
