as a personal opinion that is completely unsolicited:
facebook is like crack.
it is addictive and conducive to sketchy behavior (see: stalking).

it also has many positive sides (see: keeping in touch, sharing pictures, information on concerts and events).

and i college not having a facebook is like not having a cell phone. life in 1942 was probably pretty sweet at times, but not always convenient.
