Наконец-то дошли руки до фотографий из недавней поездки в Конго. Несколько штук я выкладываю под катом, остальные там же в виде маленьких превьюшек. Поездка получилась хорошей, и в рабочем смысле - я решил пару важных вопросов, и в личном - повстречался со многими людьми которых не видел со времени отъезда из Конго в 2007 году.

Mikhail - These were great fun. They made me feel overdue for an adventure. I especially liked the black and white portrait of your friend Catherine, GOMA airport (is that an active volcano in the background??) and the parrot. I liked your other portraits as well. You get in so close with your portraits. They are very intimate.

These are the chosen pics. I shot some 600+ photos, when I got home deleted about a half of them, and uploaded only a small number of the remaining ones. )) An even smaller number, after additional analysis and post-processing will make it to the photoblog.

The Goma volkano is an active one, yes. If I am not mistaken, the last eruption was in 2002.

As for the porraits, I don't know really - I suppose that's the way I feel they should be done.
