This is Opal the day we brought her home. She stayed like this, with her nose pressed in the corner, for hours. You can see that her fur was very thin.

So far she is digging it. It's interesting seeing her develop... at first she seemed kind of stupid and devoid of personality, and I doubted that I would love her. Now I at least like her.

Cats must have a special relationship with books. YinYang adores laying on books. If there is a stack of them that is too high for him, he'll push them over and lay on the bottom three or so. He also likes remote controls, getting up from laying down to walk over and lay on the remote.

I have to wonder if it's the smell of the fungus on the pages that they love... maybe like catnip, they get a strong high out of it.

I think it is a "new" thing, or the "this is something a different color than everything around it" thing. our kitty changes fav spots about once a month. We literally move her fav cushions to different areas so it will seem "new" to her.

Opal looks adorably happy!!!!! and that is an adorable nose stripe.
