-- We went out to St. Thomas and St. Kate's to buy my books for fall semester-- well, the St. Kate's books weren't available yet, but fortunately the physics one was the one I really wanted anyway. Although it would also be really nice to be able to get my theology reading done over the summer....-- I just caved in to peer pressure ;_____

Not everyone is reading Hetalia. I can't stand the series myself ^^;

Really? Huh. Is it the series itself that you can't stand, or the fandom, or both? I am kinda scared of the thought that now I'll have to be in the Hetalia fandom. I can just tell it's scary place.

It's the series -.-;; Tried both - the manga and the anime - and well... I'm not impressed.

It is rather strange. Idk, normally I'd be bothered by the way it jumps around a lot and the random quality of it, but for some reason I'm not in this case. Go figure. :/

I watched the anime for Hetalia (well, most of it) and that shit is hilarious. Russia & America crack me up.

I was totally bracing myself for America being some horrible, noisy fat dude... and then it never happened. I feel kinda surprised by that. Personally, the one that cracks me up is chibi Italy, though. ^__^

One of my favorite scenes is when the Allied powers are going over battle strategies...

America: Ok, firstly we have England. You have an important job. I want you to be my back-up.
England: *groan*
America: Now France your job is also important. You're my back-up.
France: *wince*
America: Now Russia. You have a really really important job. Your my back-up.
Russia: *creepy smile*

And then when they all turn on America and ask him what his job his he goes..."Me? I'm the hero!"

And that is America all day every day. I laughed so hard.
