See, whenever I read fics like this, I'm always left with the thought that this is how canon should be ... whether it is or not. It feels right. I like the irony that "God"'s actual body is weak and dying. Konan taking care of him and talking to him is really interesting, because in a way, he's with her but not with her. I take it that body can't see or hear anything, so he's not seeing or hearing what she's saying.

But then you think he has bodies out there which do see and hear. So it's pretty trippy. I especially liked the description of her having to wrap her hands to keep the rats from biting them. That struck a pretty visceral cord. Also, the bit about blue, and her kissing his mouth. Morbid, yet sweet/angsty. Really nice story.

You know it isn't. I've figured out Kishi's master plan. 1. Create a manga series that has all the elements that will make it immensely popular. 2. Wait until it has about 50 billion fans. 3. Make the plot more and more ridiculous until all the fans commit suicide. 4. Take over newly empty world.

But I'm glad you liked it. I do wonder when we're ever actually going to see Nagato. I feel like after holding out for so long, he'll have to make there be something surprising about him, you know? (...Oh hell, what am I saying? I wonder if we're ever actually going to see Sasuke again either.)
