I really like this, and the conclusion nicely echoes what actually happened in the manga: in the end, it was Itachi's own illness that finally killed him.

I saw from your journal that you're also a fan of CLAMP's works, and obviously of Naruto and more specifically the Akatsuki. Mind if I friend you?

That makes me feel good! I find Itachi really challenging to write.

Like, I always want to write him, but ---

I think he's one of the most difficult characters in this series.

This is lovely, especially the last section. "I will die by my own heart." I don't know much about the fandom, but this is something that could resonate for so many characters in literature.
