My thoughts on yaoi (or some such)

But I seem to have this peculiar thing where I almost always ship a certain pairing in the opposite order from the rest of the fandom. (I.e. B/A when everyone else always writes it as A/B

Actually I like the combination that you like :D Especially when this type of uke wears glasses... :3 I don't mind other combinations, though.

I'm glad someone has the same thing! I think I'm mostly indifferent to glasses, though.

I don't really prefer that kind of dynamic myself - I prefer if the two partners are equal and reversible, if you know what I mean. The constant power play / dominance schtick doesn't really cut it for me. :|

Fair enough --- it does make me uncomfortable when people seem to take sexual roles as being somehow indicative of the overall . . . uh, "balance of power", I guess? in the relationship as a whole. I'm not sure that it's really a healthy way of looking at things.
