stolen cars and wedding shoes and random other things

One of the meat cutters here at work had his car stolen from the parking lot the other day!!! No one could believe it. I'm not really sure how it ended up, but I think he's got it back now. Moral of the story- don't leave your keys in the car under the seat (duh!!).

In other not-so-exciting news, I found a pair of shoes to go with my dress. They've got a lowish heel (about and inch and a half), though Giles still thinks I'll be taller than him. I think we'll be about the same. I've been wearing them around the house every once in a while to start breaking them in. I'm glad I started now, because so far they really aren't the most comfortable things. I think I'm going to have to find some reception flip flops.

Leah's coming home- I mean to her parents' house- this weekend for a baby shower. we're supposed to get together at some point, but I' not sure when. Giles and I made plans to get together with one of his co worker's and his wife on Sunday evening, so I hope Leah doesn't want to do something then.

I miss talking to Meg- I've got to call you sometime! Preferable when you aren't at work or asleep or on top of a mountain somewhere.

Oh- I finally disposed of the mug I kept tipping over and dumping hot liquid all over the place. It was a sad occasion because it was a pretty mug, but pretty doesn't make up for unstable in this world.

My neck and shoulder seem to be getting less tense. They've been sore and tight for literally weeks now. I'm not sure why, but it hasn't seemed so bad the last couple days. Maybe it's because I rearranged my desk. That involved, by the way, much ridicule for having to crawl under the desk so much. My computer is one of the ones that stands up, so it sits on the carpeted floor under the desk. I had to push it around under there to be able to move my monitor to the other side of my desk. Anyway, now I'm looking straight at the monitor instead of having to turn my head and look and it sitting in the corner of the desk.
