1. My parents left town Sunday and left me:
   1. A watermelon that split and leaked all over the kitchen floor, so I had to mop it up. :(
   2. So much cooked food that I don't expect to have to do anything except microwave before they get back on Tuesday

I saw The Color Purple musical last night and it was amazing. Fantasia as Celie was excellent, not only did she handle a demanding vocal part with ease and beauty, but she was an excellent actress as well. I want to grow up to be Sophia, as played by Felicia P. Pretty decent show. I don't like Veanne Cox, who played Olivia. I generally find that her emotional tenor is wrong, too much or not enough, and there is something to the timbre of her voice which I find irritating, in that nails on chalkboard way, but relatively mild. Peter Katona was pretty useless as Sebastian, but that's…the nature of the role. ( Read more... )
