I guess Facebook has taken up my posting time...and i've neglected LJ
my 37th birthday was great...wined and dined for a meeting planner event with lots of great food, desserts, alcohol and a few hours at Sea World with a new friend that I met at the event.
Went to lunch at Flip burger, Richard Blais' (from Top Chef) restaurant. and it was pretty good. not amazing but pretty good. i loved, loved, loved the pistachio and white truffle milkshake. oh my gosh was it good and worth the calories! i will go back to try the Po Boy Burger and the Veg. burger...
the weather is absolutely stunning and i'm in my apartment catching up on chores and contemplating doing laundry while watching an old Buffy episode (gosh, i hated Riley. he was such a goofball). but i also owe a lot in taxes so am forced to be uber thrifty until i can rebound from the tax payment, hence staying home more frequently. yesterday and today i spent no money. i ate all meals from groceries i already had, no snacks from the vendo and today's lunch was my belated birthday lunch so was treated!
