bon weekend
spent the weekend at the GA Tech Conference Center using a free weekend voucher...overall a good time and hanging out in my old Midtown hood was nice. plus the weather has been absolutely amazing so it was very nice to walk around a quasi-grid area with lots of people on the street for a change. i love living in an urban warehouse area of Atlanta, but the lack of people on the street is sometimes a bother.
went to an Envrio Fest which was just ok. felt dizzy, queasy and strange for 30 minutes or so and had to sit down so not sure what that was all about but did get lots of free samples of moisturizer, Larabars and other goodies.
Iowa lost to Ohio State in the BCS champion deciding game and i was totally bummed but maybe now Iowa will get to play a bowl game in Florida that could be driving distance from the ATL.
going to get a follow up x-ray tomorrow to see how much (hopefully all!) of this nasty pneumonia is gone, then it's to work where i'll probably get a stern talking to for something i did last minute on Friday. let's just say it has to do with an issue of micro-managing from my director and me and my colleague's decision to do something for the benefit of the entire association's benefit. so, i think we did the right thing but since it didn't go through the proper approval, we may be in a pickle. geez...so, not a great start to the work week perhaps, but if i get good health news, work is totally secondary, or maybe even tertiary...
