New fan of Friday Night Lights!
I started watching Friday Night Lights almost two weeks ago and now I can’t get enough of this show! I decided to give it a shot because I have heard good things about it and had to keep myself occupied while some of the other shows that I watch are on hiatus. For me, it started off slow and didn’t think it was that good, but a few episodes in, I got hooked, I love the stories and the characters, so much so that I have decided to make a picspam of my favorite part of the show - Matt/Julie while we wait for the new episode in two weeks. Warning, very image heavy. So dial-up users are advised not to proceed ;)
My initial reaction to the show was that the characters are these arrogant and superficial jocks, and cheerleader bitches - but it’s far from it! I love everything about the show, the characters have problems of their own and it’s just a great drama, but I have fallen in love with Matt/Julie the most, they are so adorable together and the actors that portray them - Zach Gilford and Aimee Teegarden have amazing chemistry despite the fact that in real life, he is 25 and she is 17 - still a teen.
It takes a lot for me to ship a couple obsessively, and this is starting to become one of them. I look at chemistry and character interaction as well as other things when I like a couple on a show. I am really only passionate about just a few ships - like Clark and Lana from “Smallville”, and Jim and Pam from “The Office”. I ship others like Nathan/Haley from “One Tree Hill” (though they are kinda boring now), Booth/Brennan, and Jack/Angela from “Bones”, and Betty/Henry from “Ugly Betty”, though I am not as obsessed with these couples as I am with Clana and Jam. Now to go crazy over Matt/Julie like I am now in such a short time, it’s working for me ;) I am so into them that I changed my header, my userinfo and my default userpic to Matt and Julie.
Anyway, this picspam starts off with some random Matt/Julie moments I fell in love with during the season, but it’s more focused on the last few episodes because they are still fresh on my mind :-) Also because I loved episode 1x17 “I Think We Should Have Sex” - OMG Matt/Julie goodness all around!
Apologises with the crap quality of my screencaps, I cap them myself and they are all pixelated and grainy, which is why I went with the black and white/greyscale effect. So enough talk, onto my *first* picspam ……

I just loved how she comforted him after Matt’s fight with his dad.
She’s there for him, Matt is going through so much. School, work, taking care of his grandma, his father returning from Iraq, as well as being team captain and quarterback. Phew!

After being busted for being underage at a strip club, Matt wanted to stay in jail with Julie … well more like a juvenile holding cell ha ha.

Matt: You don’t really need to worry about me, in a fight I just kind of stand at the back and just yell stuff.

Episode 1x18 - “Extended Families”
There was little Matt/Julie in this episode, I guess the characters needed a bit of a break since we got plenty of them in the last few episodes before this.
“I woke up this morning with Buddy Garrity in a towel in the bathroom? He was half naked!”
Poor Julie, she has seen more skin on Buddy than she has of her own boyfriend LOL! Not related to Matt/Julie, but this scene is hilarious!
Matt: Look, I just don’t want you to get grounded again, I kinda like being allowed to see you.
Julie: (laughs) I am not gonna get grounded again, ok?
Matt: Yeah? (I love Matt’s eyebrow raise, so cheeky yet so cute).
