My thumb swelling finally subsided yesterday. It feels a lot better (altho the way it looks is a whole other story). I haven't gotten a whole lot of knitting done. I cast on the Mabel dress the other day and it is irritating me immensely. I have never knit anything on a size 2 needle. The tension looks all uneven all over the garment. I'm not sure if I will continue at this point and hope that I can block it out, or if I will frog the whole thing and start over. I am in search of some bamboo needles instead of the ones I'm using, I'm hoping it will make some difference. The other thing is, maybe it is because I am an English Knitter, I have read that English knitters twist the yarn more or something.

To take my mind off of said dress, I knit some mittens

I need to finish the i-cord and attach it. The colorway is Mosaic Moon's "Chocolate Sky" on BFL. I am in love with BFL.

I was able to finish some of the UFOs that lay waiting. Here are a couple more Curly Purly soakers. The pink is size small and the brown is a "large." Obviously the large is absolutely humongous (?sp) and will prolly fit EPh by the time he is ready for 1st grade. Maybe not even then. I think my gauge was pretty correct, too, I think it is a question of the yarn (Peace Fleece). PF doesn't seem to spring back and stretch like other yarns. I will not be using it for anymore soakers.

Cascade 220 in "Cotton Candy." A prime example of why you shouldn't buy yarn online. Way too pink, IMO.

Peace Fleece in "Buffalo Brownski." Cool color, not wild about the yarn itself.

Comparison of small to large.
