Winter in Melbourne Part 2

Jul 21, 2008 14:35

So yes, I have broken up the Melbourne trip into three parts to make it easier :-)

On Monday, we went to check out Swinburne Uni.. Haha yes, the main purpose of the trip! (riiiiight..)
Heheh went to the Hawthorne one, which is the main campus before heading to the one in Prahran which offers the course I plan to take :-)

Matching pls! It's a sign, I tell you!

Got some brochures and turns out they're having their Open Day in early August.. About the same time Jason Mraz will be going down... I think it would be a good idea to head down again in August, no? ;-) Hehee
Had lunch at Flinders Lane before going shopping on Collins St..
Found Lincraft!!
Total craft heaven ok! I can go crazee in there! :-D

Went for a movie at Melbourne Central with Jo in the evening..
Got to have the much talked about Chocotop too! Now I get what all the fuss is about.. Heheh
But the best part of the movie was that the seats were bean bag-ish! Sooo cute pls! Heee :-D
After the movie we walked to Hardware Lane for dinner :-)
Back at his place, I got to try out Guitar Hero for the first time.. Ahahah okay I totally suck at it! Sumpah tak tipu.
Kena boo liddat :-(
I felt like such a loserrr. They make it look so easy! Hmph.

Woke up early on Tuesday morning for our breakfast in the park date. Hehee :-D
It was a pretty long walk from my place but so totally worth it!
Met up with Mama, Papa and Sha at Melbourne Central after brunch and split up again.. But this time Sha joined us.
Headed to Chapel St for some kick ass Japanese food and shopping.. Found a normal (well-lit, white coloured walls) Supre and got a few stuff :-)

I'm a sucker for desserts..

Had tea at this American diner looking restaurant, Soda Rock before heading back home..

On Wednesday, Mama's adik angkat who stays in Melbourne came over to our apartment with her kids.. They're all so grown up since the last time I saw them! Heheh
Didn't get much shopping done today, I bet Papa must've been really relieved.. :-P

Headed to the Spencer kids' apartment and had dinner there.. Jo and me decided to make pavlova for dessert..
Ehee! Yupp, I can now proudly say I know how to make pavlova bebeh! :-D
I swear it looks so damn pro and tastes soo good.. Even Mama and Sha agree! What an accomplishment! Hehee

Nice, crispy and golden brown..

Result of our first cooking project :-)

Chilled out on the futon watching tv after dessert, and I felt like the luckiest girl in Melbourne ;-) heee. *blush*

*Part 3 will be released by Thursday, I hope!*
