Today when I was having lunch with my sister, we somehow ended up talking about Tiger and Bunny. And then I suddenly remembered that the last time I checked on news regarding Tiger and Bunny movie was a long time ago. So I immediately took my phone and googled for some news. Voila!
The movie is called "The Beginning" and they have begun selling tickets starting from March 24 (I freaked out, worrying that I would not be able to get any tickets by now). The Animate limited tickets are open for reservations beginning today. There are basically three ticket designs, single normal, pair normal, and single Animate-special. I like all of the designs, but sadly there is only one me and I do think it is far from logical if I spend money on buying (and watching) the same movie twice. Because, the movie will be released in DVD format some day, there will be people on the internet who are kind enough to share subtitled version of the movie, AND getting to the theater is costly because it is located in a neighboring city.
Even though I said I like all the ticket designs, I have to say that the Animate-special one attracts me more. As much as the idea that I hate Tiger and Barnaby faces is absurd, I fancy their logos more.
As you can see, the Animate-special ticket is not special for nothing. It comes with a strap; some cheap and lousy looking straps they are, unfortunately. But because I am aiming for the ticket itself, and paying 500 yen extra for a strap does not hurt my wallet that bad, I decided to just grab this special ticket. One ticket will come with one strap and we are free to choose either Tiger or Barnaby. I chose Barnaby, although my iPhone case is currently Barnaby...or, exactly because I want to match the strap with my phone case. But anyway, Barnaby version went out of stock just before I pressed the "Confirm Order" button. To think that today is the first day of ticket selling!! I got my hands on Tiger version, luckily, and I have five days to pay for it. I'm still not giving up the Barnaby one, I'll keep on waiting, with Tiger in one hand so if I were to get Barnaby version I'd just have to let go of Tiger.
Not that I hate Tiger. Not that. It's just that I have to choose one for reasons I wrote above. Of course, there are friends who show their interest in watching the movie together so I could always ask them to order a different type of ticket but I can't wait for them. If I had to travel all the way to watch this movie alone, I would most definitely do it.
Even though I missed Barnaby, it's really a good thing I looked for Tiger and Bunny news today. Really. Otherwise I would have missed not only Barnaby, but also the entire chance to get a frigging single ticket. Probably a bit exaggerating since I don't see why they have to start selling tickets so early with the movie not coming out until September. But then again, reservations for Barnaby special ticket reached the limit allotted for Animate on its first day, so...
OOOOOOOOOOOHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
I GOT BARNABY!! Yaaaaaaaay
Woo!
I was about to write, "I have been refreshing the page with Barnaby version in it for like a gazillion times already now..." But then, what I saw on the screen shortly after I confirmed the order was "Your order has been accepted"~~~ Lalalalaa~~ lol
But I guess the quantity for Barnaby ticket really is limited. Unlike Tiger, the order confirmation e-mail for Barnaby was not quickly followed by paying method e-mail. I think as long as Animate could not guarantee that I would get my Barnaby ticket, they would not send me any payment invoice. Which means all I can do is wait. Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, for two consecutive nights I will be in front of my laptop, watching live-streaming of some Tiger and Bunny shows. Oh, and today I added a new tag for my journal, 'tiger and bunny' :-)
