Oh, I do that too alot. The prob is, it's apparently not quite nutritionally complete -a cat in nature will also ingest the bones and stomach contents and whatnot. A cat just on meat is liable to develop calcium deficiencies and such shit.(I fed "spare meats", as in, internal organs, skin and whatnot -but my parents who sometimes watch the cat do indeed go the steak route ^^). The cost matters so little, a cat doesnt eat much, and anyway, the most expensive food is a lot cheaper than treating a cat that has developed diabetes or something from shit food.

It infuriates me beyond words that just about anything you can buy in the supermarket will swear on the label it's good for your cat, and in fact will only contribute to its early death. A cat cannot, NOT digest corn or grain!! I mean, sure we eat McD's, but we know its bad.

I was disappointed when I first got the cat that most cat foods are just about poison for the cat. I am more disappointed yet that even the most supposedly proper ones may still kill!

I wouldnt mind feeding him fucking sirloin daily if that was healthy, but its not, it lacks essential minerals and calcium and vege products. It just leaves me so ...baffled.

Look, here's a rollcall, I'll pay absolutely anything for a totally nutritionally complete, guaranteed safe cat food!!

Complicated... Sounds like you'll have to get an apartment with lots of mice running around....
