I cant believe this!!!
I have always minded Ratsky, my cat, the best that I can. Up to and including feeding him super-premium foods -look, if you think that Whiskas is giving your cat a happy or a healthy, you can think again. Grains and especially corn can NOT be metabolized properly by kitties, and only make them fat, diabetic, and eventually, dead.
So I paid through the nose for foods rated as super premium, all real meat, yadda yadda. No corn, no grain, and only named meats, as opposed to "animal byproduct meal" -which could be anything.
It just turns out that Orijen, the only super-premium kibble I could find in this country, has caused the deaths of some fourteen cats, due to contamination. I remember a year or two ago, Nutro and some others, who made perfectly respectable wet foods, even if their kibbles involved corn, were recalled due to some madcap poisonous ingredient.
What the fuck am I to feed my cat?!?
