I like that "If I made [ x delicious thing ], would anybody eat it?" is probably the most common phrase uttered at my apartment. Well, to be fair, it's either that or "Let's watch Desperate Housewives!" >_< It's so addicting, though I haven't had that much time to watch it.
I'm crazy busy these days, but the fundraising is going fairly well. I'm trying to edit/write some more letters to businesses asking for in-kind donations for the auction, but my private donors keep messaging me on facebook, volunteering to donate items or updating me on the status of the items they've pledged to donate. That's awesome, obviously, but I think it's going to be another late night tonight... and so it is time for a to-do list.
Things that really need to be ready for or done by Thursday afternoon include:
*Letter to Mills
*Letter to 49 West
*Letter to Annebeth's
*Letter to Womanship
*Sweet info sheet about the Magoma Project's budget and what it went towards that I can give to businesses I want large ($200 or higher) in-kind or cash donations from
*Calling Womanship to set up a time to catch up with Suzanne face-to-face
I should visit 49 West and Annebeth's in the morning/early afternoon. My 2-4:30 PM is booked for going around and soliciting businesses with Josh, I should call Suzanne sometime during business hours, and my 9-10 PM for the weekly team conference call.
Things that should be done by this Friday afternoon include:
*learning 8 chapters of Swahili
*finishing the Best Persuasive Letter Ever to St. John's, which will hopefully convince them to let Josh and I use the Boathouse rent-free to hold our swing dance fundraising event
*possibly meeting with Suzanne?
I've got our Swahili review at 3 pm, and dancing at 7:30 PM or so.
