stuff that happened
So a lot happened. Most recently, I had my oral, which actually went rather well. We ended up talking about most of what I wanted to talk about, and it helped me organize my thoughts a bit. I did a lot of the talking, which is a new thing for me. :D I didn't get to talk about perspective as it related to Paradise Lost as much as I wanted (and possibly needed, because it's probably important to my question qua the themes of Paradise Lost) since it only came up in the last minute before Ms. Heines cut the discussion short, and I didn't really get to be like "Why does Raphael not approve of humans thinking science-fictional thoughts?!? *outrage face*", but I did joke about Raphael not liking science fiction with Mr. Recco, as he also arrived early.
Last weekend was long weekend, and I went to West Virginia with Rachel, Will, Eric, Kristin, and Katherine H. It was fabulous- we rode bikes to see radio telescopes, I became a robot (if you are an organic life-form, please do not ask me about my Moon Sword. It's a bit of a faux pas to directly ask me about it, and I won't tell you anything anyway) we had delicious vegetarian pizza, and went to an antique store and a used bookstore and saw 44 roadkills and a bear and also Will and Rachel got engaged. :D
