Hello anticlimax.
3 good things about today:
1) I got my laundry done and my room cleaned up (basically once I pick up the clothes and put my schoolwork on the shelves it looks fine.)
2) Kristin came over and we actually made sentences and things out of the college magnetic poetry set in my room. Now my refrigerator is decorated with many entertaining things.
Examples:
"drunk sorority hottie makes you naked through sophistry
she is a horrible woman
I would get you in bed
using library science"
"my research must test cake"
"little boys study virtue under manly professors"
"form of the good"
"μεν bust through the heavens with your drill
δέ I require sleep and beer after"
I added some of the vocabulary by putting masking tape over the word magnets I was least likely to use, and then writing the new word on top of the tape with a thin sharpie. :D Hence the presence of "sophistry" and "μεν δέ", among others.
3) I have finished my counterpoint exercises and they both sound acceptable. This is a triumph. A triumph that took me way too long, although I think I have the hang of it now.
Yay, I have successfully cheered myself up! Now to ignore all that greek I didn't do because I was too busy wrestling with the stupid counterpoint excercises.
