During the summer, this kind of car fail just meant it was a bike day, but since the time change, it's gotten dark too soon after 5:00 for me to bike; I don't have a light yet, and I'm very prone to staying late to finish things up. I could've just left half an hour early and finished up from home, but two people offered me rides the last time around, so I decided to take them up on it.
And then neither of them checked their messages until four. *facepalm* By the time it was clear that wasn't going to happen, I was already in a work from home groove and it seemed silly to leave late only to leave early.
I'm not accustomed to keeping lunchtime food around, so that was a bummer, but I did get my laundry done early! It was really hard to resist LJ and my one real opportunity for redial_chat, but I was a good worker bee.
I used the opportunity to take my car in this afternoon. They didn't get to it today, so I am on call tomorrow. Regardless of how this one turns out, I will be investing in a new (at least to me) car sooner than planned. (I think my car sensed it and freaked out in protest.) I haven't done that before. Any advice?
Also, for those who know her, lanna_kitty arrived safely and is now questing for internet. We ran out the rest of my cell phone minutes. Whoops. :-D
Also, I like the new LJ profiles as much as I did the old ones. So there. :-P
