Call me wanky, I do not care
Okay. I know a lot of you are big fans of Firefly and Serenity, and that's great. I'm happy for you. I'm glad you got your movie.
But some of your fellow fen piss me off in a big way. The comments in this wank summed up my feelings about it very nicely. And now it's come into my friends list, via the spamtastic efforts of one sockpuppet, xalaskashowsx, who for some reason thinks the college student demographic - you know, the people who have no money and prefer to illegally download their movies - is the one to SPAM, as witnessed by their identical posts to ucsd, uci, ucla, ucdavis, and I'm sure the rest that I didn't bother checking.
You know what it's exactly like? Those spammers trying to promote The Passion of the Christ via LJ comments, except these are full posts on the communities. This is why those of us who are not of the Browncoat persuasion see the more extreme of you (again, not my flist) as disturbingly evangelical and are, in fact, getting turned away from supporting your fledgling franchise because of it. This kind of BS is counter-productive.
I could go on a much longer rant, but I'm leaving for dinner so you are spared. Just. ARGH.
