A Stitch in Time

Hello, and welcome! Welcome to... My Webl. Please, have a cup of cocoa (courtesy of Mai Lan... ok, ok, I already drank it... but it's the thought that counts, right?) and relax by the fire (generously supplied by an imagination near you, if yours is broken :D ( Read more... )

Well, I can see, and understand your points about positivism, god, God and your movie choices ( ... )

You're right, I think that you can't or shouldn't completely plan out your future... though I think it is important to look at the logical consequences of your action or inaction.

I know far too many people who work hard one now so one day they can relax later in life... I'd prefer to enjoy each moment too. I'd also like to enjoy future moments, where trying to look at logical consequences come in... I'd rather walk around a hole than continue on my way and fall in it.

Constant worry is not good and is... pretty much ridiculous. I don't see any need really to worry about anything. Either things are out of your control, so it makes no sense to worry about them... or they are within your control and you can do something about it, so it makes no sense to worry about it.

Pleasing everyone sounds like a good way to lose who you are to me. I don't think pleasing everyone is really what would be best in this world.

So... to sum it up... I think you're right :)

LOL, I did notice a few product placements... but enjoyed the movie none the

It's good to see you again... online anyway!

I think after the trap of selfishness, it is easy to fall in to the trap of selflessness... I'm glad that you're beyond that :)

I'll check Pay It Forward out some time! Thanks for the suggestion...

I, Robot to me was partly looking at the whole idea why (in my mind) God made people the way he did, the search for a purpose, and why people do bad things, like kill others... so that's part of why I liked it so much. See you later!

It's no secret that you enjoy debating and hearing ideas. I knew that the minute I met you, and you didn't have to say a word.

Thanks for sharing - I enjoyed this post.

Bah, it is common knowledge that RED is the greatest color there is! It is just so MUCH greater that it is beyond the field of vision of those who squabble over green and blue!

Also, though I know you've already seen it, Dannyboy, I figure there may be others who would enjoy my rebuttal, so I shall link it here...

I, Robot just seemed like a two hour long commercial to me.

I would recommend Waking Life.

I'll have to check that out too :)

For some reason... I'm not that good on picking up product placements in movies... but even I noticed a few in I, Robot.
