Things that happened today.

Calypso, my grandma's almost two-year-old dog, licked the bottom of my foot. If I hadn't been crying from all the pain I was in, it would have been really funny for both of us. Instead, he alone thought it was hilarious.

While driving into Malibu, I saw an old, naked dude standing in the ocean trying to get back into his wetsuit.

I'm staying at the Hilton in Old Town San Diego. One of the valet guys asked me if I was waiting for a red convertible Porsche. Oh, flattery, you are so kind. The guy who took our luggage led me inside to a "seashell seat" and showed me the ceiling which was decorated in steel mesh that "looks like a jellyfish when the wind blows" (NOTE to CC: I know it's not jellyfish, but I was quoting the guy). Our room is epic. It's three rooms of squishy, pretty furniture, gorgeous carpets and fabrics covering the furniture (damn you, Britex), and surrounded by windows that look out at the ocean and Old Town San Diego. Goooorgeous. They've also got a heated salt water pool that I've yet to try out. I'll take pictures. This place is epic.

I've decided that if I ever write an autobiography / memoir / thing, its title will be I Was Perfect Once; It Was A Wednesday. I'll think about giving Mike Hoag credit for said title.
