acetylcholinesterase! whee!
Just got back from three hours of talking with KosherTurkey. His research is really cool! Well, I already knew that, and I also already knew that this stuff would be applicable to the stuff I wanted to do long term, but I didn't realize quite how much.
Wow.
Anyway, my project involves working with acetylcholinesterase (AChE). A better understanding of the reaction mechanisms of AChE will help in development of Alzheimer's drugs, so this is a good thing to work on. But even if I were working on a different molecule, the research would be cool.
