Just another bad hair day

Things this week which have made me go grrr:
  • The family planning nurse telling me in a disapproving tone of voice that it was 'drastic' to have my IUS removed on the grounds it is giving me acne. WTF, woman, I've had it five years. Also, my body, kthxbai.
  • The family planning doctor telling me that I will have to go to the hospital to have the IUS ( Read more... )

moh, rl, rambling

*huggles you tight* Woe for tiredness and moh, my darling. *sends Jensen to kiss you all better*

The health service is stupid and grownup responsibilities are stupid and the train company is really stupid. The world is generally stupid and I smite on it for you.

On the plus side, your shiny comments are shiny, and I approve of that! :D

*huggles you moar* Hang in there, darling, it will get better. <33333333333

Mmmmm Jenseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen. I feel all my woes would melt into nothingness if he would come and kiss me.

The world so is generally stupid *shakes fist at it*. The train company is the stupidest, though.

Heee comments :D

An IUS is an intra-uterine system, colloquially known as a coil - basically the type I have is an implant which gives off progesterone. They're pretty cool, except I am prone to acne and the IUS does not seem to be helpful in that regard.

Yes, Friday tomorrow! Some weeks it needs to come early. Sorry your week has been like that too <3

Well hell. It's crap on all sides. Sucks. I'm so sorry.

Also, if you've had the IUD for five years, isn't it time for it to come out, regardless of whether or not your complexion enters into it? Or do you have one of the 7 year ones? Also, I have no clue about the NHS, but as soon as someone told me they couldn't find the strings, I would've freaked the hell out. Props to you for keeping a level head, despite missing strings and asshat bureaucracy.

How about we be cranky together? I'ma rustle up a time turner maybe, and we'll set this joint on fire.

If you've had the IUD for five years, isn't it time for it to come out?Oh hai thar, logic! My exact words to the nurse were 'It's about ready to expire and I'd like to change to something else, since it's giving me acne'. But apparently CHANGE IS BAD. I think they are especially jumpy about people switching off those hormonal IUSs, because the things are really expensive and some people have them fitted and then immediately change their minds. But I am NOT one of those people. Mostly I think she was just annoying ( ... )

But apparently CHANGE IS BAD.

Or your nurse is STUPID. Wow. What a dolt.

it's dropped from freak the hell out status to PITA. Oh well.

Well that's good. Pains in asses are preferable to freakouts, I think.

I know that when my Dr first suggested an IUD as a good low/no estrogen form, I was all, "Whoa! Whoa! PID and babies born with their little fists wrapped around copper wires!"

But it really has been a good experience for me. Your post here has made me wonder, though, if it might not be exasperating my rosacea. I will have to do some observation.

Burning the joint down sounds good!

Let's do it. I'll accept that glass of wine and pass you some of my delicious sugar-free milk chocolate. It's fancy! From Spain! :D

I'm glad there's some good stuff in there. But that sucks with the IUS and the treatment you got from the meds. :(

Oh, family planning services are such a carry on, seriously. IUSs are very popular, so I have to go to the family planning clinic, and that just ends up producing a lot of shuttling from one place to another. Grr. Still, worse things happen at sea!
