Looking forward to summer...

The past few weeks have been insane...this is really the first chance I've had to sit around and do nothing, and it feels rather odd to be in that situation.

I've gotten through a small tidal wave of exams, most of them going okay to some extent or another. The one I had yesterday...not so much. The only good thing I can say about it is that apparently most of the class did equally horribly. I have somewhat of a respite before finals, but two classes will necessitate me kicking ass on the last exam. I've become rather fond of this 4.0 I have going, and would like to keep it if at all possible...

Last weekend, I got the chance to meet a few more zoos. In this case, it mostly wasn't as exciting as you'd think--most of them, I pretty much just met over lunch at the amazing local pho place--but a good time was still had. The day before was spent mostly like this:

I seem to slowly be getting more comfortable on steep snow, and with using an ice axe. Thus, I was able to pull off a 1000' glissade safely, and even have some fun toward the end!

I also recently visited a new state (for reasons which shall be left unexplained here), leaving me with a whopping 5 states still on the unvisited list: Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Missouri, and Arkansas. I'll get around to at least three of those in the not-incredibly-distant future, I suspect...

Summer plans remain unsolidified, though I should be kept pretty busy through the middle of June. Hopefully, said summer will include lots and lots of hiking--almost a certainty, if I find a part-time job!
