Qi Gong - The Golden Bell

My Qi Gong training is starting to get very interesting as I move into 2 person training. When you move from single person to two person your mind/body is permitted to go from split to focused. When you practice on yourself your attention is split because you have to focus on hitting yourself with the bean bag while also sending the qi out to meet the challenge. This splits the energy in two different directions. When you move to 2 person, the split is not there and you can send all of your energy to a specific location. you tell the mind to send the ai to a specific location. You are never really sure how well you are doing until you get to 2 person. The mind/body/qi engages on a unified front, as can only happen when another person is hitting you with the bean bag. This is what I was finally able to experience last night in qi gong. Its a very interesting kinesthetic experience when the qi actually goes where it is supposed to. You breathe the energy in and the mind sends it and the body engage which allows the qi to flow. If only it was always like that. Between the breathing, the qi firing, the endorphins flooding the blood, the body responding; it can cause a brief state of euphoria which is pretty awesome. This is going to be a difficult level because it is working on the skin of the torso which is the pathway for grief and the lungs. Later I will move to the bat which will work on the bones and old patterns. Finally building to the chung fu energy of the heart. Better not get too far ahead of myself and stay present in this moment of the training.
