I'm actually home for a couple days, since the Star Above, Star Below ritual is this Sunday. That gives my mate and I Friday and Saturday to get ready as well as get the truck ready to go.
Today it's supposed to go into the shop for its oil change PM at 1000 PST, and we were quoted about six hours for completion. That would get us home today still. That's good because another air fitting just started leaking about a week ago, so that can get fixed, along with a burnt out 12V socket and perhaps the up/down switch on the driver's chair. Then homeward bound!
My main three objectives once there are:
- Gather up all the goodwill articles and take them there. Since it's in the same shopping center I'll pick up the mail. My next order of Medifast food and I'm hoping my new work boots will be waiting for me. If so the pair I have on now gets added to the Goodwill pile.
- Go to a laundromat and wash a pair of jeans and my Philadelphia Eagles hoodie that got splashed with diesel fuel one time. I don't want to risk washing them at home and having everything afterwards smell like diesel forevermore.
- Go to the bicycle shop and have them repair the valve on a front bike tire. I'd do it myself but it uses those odd european valve cores that I don't have any of, nor have any experience with. Once I get it back onto the bike I also need to tighten down one of the brake pads. Oy.
- All the computer work listed in the last post.
I hope I can get it all in before it's time to go! Here's hopin. Oh gosh. Remembered I need to send off our Xmas list to mom while I have good wifi here.
