With all the free time I finally got into Morrowind, only like years too late but whatever. I never had the time to get into it before because there's so much, so involved and I like it now and so much to do. I've joined just about everything organization I can join and running around like crazy. I can't even really say where I'm at because I do a little of the main quest but have like twenty other things to do so I start to do them and get more quests and I'm supposed to go up the camp up north to see if I'm the new Christ figure but too damn busy with escort missions and fetching and looting.
I've also been reading, most notably lately Augusten Burroughs, both Running with Scissors and Dry. I just purchased his novel today but have not started yet. I really, really liked RwS, but Dry, his autobiography of being a drunkard, was even better. He has a terribly interesting voice, and a way of finding the right details to sharpen the story. I realized one of the reasons I could connect with the tale was a guy I used to know who was smart and funny and at least used to like to write and spent too many nights with the Captain and it made me sad and I think that guy would like this book too but it's none of my business.
Watched The Last Emperor, very beautiful. Welcome to the Dollhouse wasn't quite as cringeworthy as I was expecting. Spun was a good one-time view, wouldn't be nearly the same to watch again. Bhaji on the Beach was only okay. My TiVo is working overtime, can you tell?
What else? I have led a relatively boring life lately. I need to find a new job. I'm still on medical leave from Disneyland because of the headaches. The Tylenol 3 and Norco stone me out, or I have headaches and can't run the machines anyway. If this continues I'll look for a quieter job or quit altogether and go back to school if we can afford it.
