Man, I haven't written for shit in about a week. This is highly unusual for me, since I typically write every day. Yeeesss--every single goddamn day. I'm haunted, I tell you. I almost want to claw my way to the top of a building and shout, WHAT IS WRONG, but then I remember that I was road tripping for the better part of a week.
Yesterday I went to school and learned about YOUR BRAIN ON DRUUUGS, which was pretty awesome. You know that smoking weed before a traumatic brain injury or stroke is actually good for you? Because the cannabis binds to glutamate receptors, which is a huge deal. Usually during a TBI or a stroke, your brain gets all fucking EXCITED--that is, it panics--and releases a metric shit ton of glutamate. This kills neurons. Yes. Your brain gets so panicked about shit that it starts killing itself. HOWEVER, if you have smoked weed, you've clogged up your glutamate receptors! This calms your brain the fuck down and can save your life!
SCIENCE, bitches. Fascinating shit. Kind of irrelevant to me, punky straight edge kid that I am and always have been, but still.
