First Nano-update

Well, I've hit the 1k mark. So only 49k more to go...

I've taken this week off. I had enough free days left over and I felt like taking the extra time for NaNoWriMo. When I get home from work during the week, my mental energy levels are looow. So hopefully I'll get a kick-start this week and write as a much lower pace in the rest of November.

I didn't have a clear idea of the plot beforehand, though I knew a bit about in general, what would happen. So far, in writing the first 1,000 words I have:
-completely changed the profession of my main character
-invented a whole new person, who seems to become very important & useful later on
-already foreshadow something, which I originally expected would happen much later. But there was a good place to already put it here.

In other words, it's already out of control as it should be.

One lesson for the coming days: the moment I sit down behind my computer, our kitty will jump on my lap & fall asleep. Since I don't want to disturb its cuteness, I should from now on have a pot of tea and assorted snacks already within handreach on my desk, before I sit down. At least I was smart enough to have breakfast first.
