Some people feel the worst stress of school during exams, for this past term I experienced it during essay season. Exams were actually a nice break from writing 24/7. The end of the term was hectic and everything was thrown back to back, I went straight from exams to checkouts, onwards to moving day them more checkouts, a whole bunch of on duty shifts in a row and a welcome BBQ to plan. And.... breathe.....
The few days that I haven’t been on duty have been party nights, which has been fantastic. A few clubbing adventures, a farewell with the RA team, a birthday and a goodbye dinner. Running around last week and going out so often reminded me of first year. And why not end your fourth year with some frosh-style fun? :)
Now I’ve had a few days to recoup and get a little bit of sleep, which was much needed. I’ve barely unpacked anything yet but that’s on the agenda for the weekend since I have to stay here to be on duty anyways. I’m sort of in limbo right now; not fully moved in, my courses not decided, my work schedule up in the air and still no progress on making plans come September.
I will be happy when there are less question marks floating around my head but regardless, I am already enjoying the summer. There is something about the summer term that makes everyone just a little more relaxed and in better spirits.
