Hawaii Five-0: still the gayest show on American television

I'm sorry for the spam, but. I just. Every time I think that it is inconceivable that H50 could possibly get any gayer, the writers seem to say, "WAIT, WAIT, IT'S NOT GAY ENOUGH, QUICK WE MUST MAKE IT GAYER!"

Okay, so, Steve comes to the conclusion that Joe White is a lying liar and takes off for Parts Unknown in search of the truth about the MacGuffin Shelburne, without telling anyone beforehand. But he leaves an envelope for Danny, inscribed with his pet name, containing a heartfelt letter which Danny reads and makes emotional faces at. Danny spends the next week looking sad and telling Chin how worried he is and calling Steve's phone multiple times per day; Steve, for his part, stares at his phone and looks like he really really wants to answer, then regretfully presses ignore. Eventually Danny resorts to breaking into Steve's house, only he doesn't actually have to break in, because he STILL HAS STEVE'S KEY FROM WHEN HE WAS CRASHING ON STEVE'S COUCH SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. And he sits in the dark and rifles through Steve's belongings to try to figure out where he went, and he continues to look sad and tell Chin how worried he is but otherwise if anyone even mentions Steve he gets TETCHY AND IRRITABLE and tries to change the subject and basically spends all of the time he is not actively working a case LOOKING SAD AND PINING AWAY.

TELL ME THIS IS THE BEHAVIOR OF TWO STRAIGHT MEN WHO ARE NOT IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER and I will not believe you.

requisite steve/danny tag, gaaaaaaaaay, is this going to be forever?, is this real life?, television, feels i have them, h50
