It's GLAZIER, not a cake decorator

Huh. I did not know that Cindy Crawford and I actually had anything in common.

From Marc Maron's podcast:
Cindy: My dad was a glazier.
Marc: So he made glass.
Cindy: No, he put glass in houses.

Reminded me of the time when I was in jr high and my French teacher was trying to define My Awesome Dad's job:
Mme: So he decorates cakes.
Me: No, he works with glass.
Mme: OH! He decorates windows, like in Macy's.
Me: No. NO. He installs storm windows and doors, windows, shower doors, skylights, mirrors...
Mme: Oh, he's a ^glazzeeeeeer^.
Me: Yeah, that's what I said.

I cannot even tell you how many times I've had to splain what a glazier is. My Awesome Dad was one of the best in his field before he was forced to retire. He was a skilled tradesman, and glazier only just barely grazes the surface of his talents. He's also a master carpenter, a plumber, and an electrician.
