Blargh

Ah the workouts... was considering whether I should try to do more "fat burning" workout, meaning less intense to keep the heart rate out or cardio range. Did that Monday and Tuesday, but overall was not impressed with the results - it didn't feel like a workout. So I think I'm going to keep the actual running bit and then just add an extra 10 minutes or so walking after to go for the fat burning bit. So: Mon and Tues, 30-45 minute walk. Thurs: 2 mile run, 2 mile walk. Sit-ups, etc.

It's been a super crazy week at work - the team worked hard all week and was here till nearly 3am on Wednesday working on a deliverable for today. I left at 11pm as Wed was my night to drive home, and at that time of night it's an hour... I felt guilty for getting the extra sleep but then my drive in Thursday was nearly 2 hours thanks to multiple accidents (wtf??? Why people, why!!!) and without real sleep I probably would have nodded off on the ride in. On that note - the new hotel rocks. It's 1.5 blocks from work, has a great bar/restaurant and comfy rooms. I didn't drive at all this week once I got here, so not only is my commute now a 5 minute walk but I am saving at 40+ minutes a day of driving. Yay! Still, It's lonely. Especially on Thursday night when the rest of the team has all flown home.

Counting the hours till the day is over and I can officially start my week off for T-day. I need to spend some serious time with the 'ole resume - BE stock trading has been halted by the NYSE and we are sitting at $0.03-$0.04. Glorious. My group let go an additional round of people this week, this time including some folks who were chargeable. Blargh - I hate the stress of it all. Of course, at the same time I'm doing really well on this project and my manager and clients think I'm great. It still makes me a stress ball that wants to crawl away into a corner and hide. Meh.

Tonight: Dinner! Movie! Going to see Quantum of Solace. Then Old Man M's b-day on Sat, then packing for a week in Seatlle... Can't wait!!!

workout, meh, travel, work
