January: On the first day of 2011 I stayed in my pajamas until 3:30 pm, and wrote three pages in my (paper) journal.
February: On Feb. 14, 1998,
glassgirl7 and I married each other in a non-official Quaker-style ceremony attended by 50 friends and family members, and then had a fabulously romantic reception at an Arts&Crafts style B&B.
March: My father's dementia...really seems to be progressing, and it makes me so sad. Also scared, about how I am going to deal with it next week when I'm doing my quarterly week in Elderland.
April: Gee whiz, life's been busy and rich.
May: i won't even number this list because that would imply some sort of order or hierarchy. [first item was: "Large tree fell into yard a week ago."]
June: Hello, friends.
July: So I stopped trying to get "published," and posted this little memoir slice on my new Open Salon blog.
August: "96 Miles from Normal" (Illinois). That was a sign we all laughed about on the first day of our road trip south.
September: I'm still here, but very busy.
October: I do stay away too long.
November: I'm back home from Elderland (for more than a week now), but I woke this morning with a great heaviness about my parents, especially my father, who I think is dying.
December: I've been having a rough time, in particular an enormous emotional meltdown starting yesterday and lingering through a good part of today.
