It began with me suggesting that
Stephen Dewhurst use Vimeo for his 4th of July fireworks video, and eventually progressed to us challenging ourselves to make an RPG each in 10 days, a la some past year's
Game Chef rules. We're thinking this year's or maybe 2004's rules, since
some rocking stuff came out of that year's competition (Actually, from the Game Chef class of 2004, I've only played
The Mountain Witch, but with Bill and Mel White hanging out at the Strategist on Thursday nights, it's only a matter of time before Ganakagok comes up. In fact, if we don't the right people for Mountain Witch next week, and Elliott isn't fired up to run Spirits of the Galaxy, I'll push for playing Ganakagok.).
And then I thought, "The more the merrier!" So who wants to join us for the Summer 2008 Game Challenge that Uses Game Chef's Rules, Kinda? All we gotta a do is pick a set of constraints to focus our efforts, pick an 11-day period, encourage each other while we make games during said period, and share what we've got at the end with the world.
After that, we'll maybe do another one in
24 hours instead of 263-ish...
