I have had such a great week here; I can't believe it's over already! I only just perfected my sleeping-on-the-bus technique last night, and my bartering skills have definitly improved over the past 7 days. My proudest bartering accomplishment? Paying 45 yuen for something the lady originally wanted 200 for. It was so ridiculously overpriced Lucy and I laughed at her and walked away, and I won't go into the details, but she ended up chasing us down when we were like 10 booths away to get us back. 45 was still a little much, but not bad for a foreigner price.
Oh, and as much as I love Ruthette, I will be so happy to have my own bed back. I think all things considered, we have done an admirable job of sharing a single-size (in Ruth's words "terriblly small) bed! We only woke each other up a couple times, but she did have a bad habit of stealing the covers.
Many more stories to come, but now I have to finish packing all my stuff. Thanks to all who have been praying for our safety in traveling. God is good!
