I made the mistake of attempting to talk politics with the folks behind the Young Republicans table on campus today. Walked away feeling ill. It just saddened me.

I was struck today by a thought that shook me: what would life be like if I chose the path of greatest reward (emotional/personal, not financial), instead of the path of least resistance?

Also, there is something immensely comforting about sitting and chatting with one's housemates while eating graham crackers and peanut butter.
