Nuts, but in a good way (bike geeking)

Eighteen months ago, I bought a used pair of brake levers at a big bike swap meet. They were shiny and pretty (anodized a gold/orange), cool looking, missing a few bolts, and well-used. I think I paid $14 or so for them. I kept meaning to put them on my in-town/ utility mountain bike, because they're oooh-shiny.

The other night I finally googled the manufacturer. They've been out of business for a while. It turns out that this model of levers are much missed and well loved.

So well loved that there's a pair, in better shape than mine, selling for $282 (as of this writing) on ebay. Dang.

Pretty as they are, now I'm tempted to sell mine to finance the upgrades to my other bike. :-)
