Investigating [OTA]

After Wheatfields' panic attack, the Doctor had become very much aware of the unusual energy gathering within the station. It was rather hard to not notice a raving Chigan. The tended to be on the loud side, especially when they were otherwise sulking. Perhaps that was a characteristic otherwise reserved to this one.

Anyway, it meant that a certain particular badly dressed Time Lord of short stature was working his way deeper into the engineering sublevels of the station. Further from the promenade, where even despite the ignorance of the people there was still a warmer atmosphere. Here there was little more than the occasional worker and he swore he'd have been less bothered if there were at least pests or rust or something to break everything up and make it look less... artificial.

Moreover, the light was abysmal, with all the machinery casting shadows over other parts and in the depths of those shadows flickering lights from wires and buttons he hadn't the foggiest clue what to begin with.

He found an electric torch with some stroke of luck, switched it on and started looking into the depths for anything that seemed remotely off. And he found a wall, covered in strange unrecognizable glyphs that in all of his travels he'd never happened across.

"Well that's disconcerting. I hope you're not the instruction manual," he muttered to himself, shining the light along the wall.

[(Open to anyone that can cobble an excuse to be down there. Also, yay for this being inexplicably friends locked.)]
