That was a more wonderful visit than I could ever have imagined. Buzzy is such a classy lady and didn't let the potential awkwardness of showing up before me faze her one bit. She got along famously with my family, especially my dad. They have similar senses of humor, strangely enough. It was a cozy, content Thanksgiving, with tofu and all the trimmings and many games of foosball with Ian.

We had a date last night during which she, wearing Angelina boots and a sexy formal dress, was forced to drive my family's incredibly beat-up van on dirt roads in the rain. We window-shopped in my town's tiny mall, mocked the Christmas tree decorating comptetition, ate Mexican food, then came home and watched Love Actually. I cried at about six different points, which is weird because I usually cry suddenly and inevitably at one particular line: "Let's go get the shit kicked out of us by love." Anyway, it was by far the nicest date I've ever had.

I also cried a whole lot in the airport tonight. We'll all miss her, but we all had a great time, and I know she did too. I'm so overjoyed to have her in my life.
