The Good Wife was pretty good, although not as POW as I had kind of hoped from the promo. I do love whenever Alicia stands up to Jackie and was fist pumping for her the whole time. Diane was a winner in this ep too -- ADORE her with Eli. Omg, I might ship it. She told Will some hard things too. I was kind of hoping to see more of a reaction from him, but I'm sure that's coming.
The Dana & Kalinda scene actually left me kinda cold. Idk if it's because of whole Lana/Sophia reboot thing, or just that it's not Alicia, or that this partic. exchange didn't quite fit with Kalinda for me (so... she just talks about her bisexuality now for titillation purposes? What happened to being "private"?)
BUT, it looks like next epi is going to be important for Alicia and Kalinda. So, who really cares about the rest?:)
I was wondering what the cheese obsession is too! Apparently Eli has a "reputation.":)
Lost Girl was pretty fun. Zoie was AMAYZING as the crazy guy. KHR cracked me up as Kenzi (and it just confirms that I love him much more when he's not being a dour douchebag).
I was annoyed by Lauren's blatant brush-off of Bo's LEGITIMATE ATTEMPT at communicating about their kiss in the beginning -- I can justify it for now that L. REALLY CAN'T GO THERE in her head and deal with her feelings for both Bo and Nadia right now. But it played into what ended up being, at it's heart, a pro-Byson episode. I already kind of knew it was about time to dust off that old chestnut, but it still makes me kinda >:( to see it in action.
(FWIW, I think Kenzi and Dyson have better chemistry than Bo/Dyson. JS.)
Yay X-Files! It's super.:) Esp. the 1st 4 seasons. You shall get HOURS of enjoyment from this.

The Dana & Kalinda scene actually left me kinda cold.
I see where you're coming from. I have two possible interpretations of how Kalinda reacted to this disaster -- one is that she's truly sorry and is biding her time for a heartwarming attempt to get back in Alicia's good graces, and the other is that after her initial grief she decided that having relationships just isn't worth it, she'll always screw them up, and she should just do whatever the fuck she pleases because she doesn't give a crap anymore. She seems to be kind of swinging back and forth between those two options (which seems totally realistic to me), and her scene with Dana fit nicely with the latter reaction.
I think the whole "sex with girls is fun!" thing was intended to get a rise out of Dana and...well, I'm not really sure what Kalinda's endgame was. Have Dana get Cary to leave Will alone? Just make Dana blush because it's fun? Who knows what goes on in K's head. (DAMN YOU FOR TYPING LANA AND DANA SO CLOSE TOGETHER AGAIN. ;)
Is there a promo with A/K-ness?? The only one I saw had no Kalinda whatsoever (though it did have Peter, ew). I do hope we'll get Kalinda doing something to save Grace, in any case. That would be oddly like a random fic idea that's been floating around in my head for a while, except in my head Grace's tutor takes her to a crazy party and Grace freaks out and calls Alicia, but Alicia's doing something (okay, so I haven't quite worked this part out yet) and the ONLY OTHER PERSON who could possibly rescue Grace is Kalinda. So Alicia grudgingly makes the charged-silence-laden phone call and K picks Grace up with her awesome powers of Kalinda-ness and...yeah. Don't even ask.
YES. KHR was awesome as Kenzi. I was going to say I really liked Dyson in this episode...but that's because he was actually Kenzi. Dyson in Kenzi's body was his usual brooding self. But I agree re: Kenzi and Dyson (Denzi? Kyson?). Kenzi would be an improvement over Chiara, who irritates me. I don't know if I'm totally ready to ship them yet...but it could grow on me. Their final scene was really sweet, and I liked that Kenzi wouldn't even tell Bo, her best friend, about Dyson's feelings.
Oh, and hearing Anna Silk do a Texan accent was hilaaaarious.

Yep, me too, but I hope Lauren does get herself together soon. I want to see The Talk, dammit!

X-Files are looooooove, and I can even manage to overlook Gillian Anderson's haircut. :P I'm trying REALLY REALLY HARD to ship Mulder and Scully like burning (apparently my subconscious is too, as I just typed Sculder and Mully...) but so far I'm not really seeing it. Ah well, perhaps later.

I just realized today that it will be episode 10, and the FIRST significant A/K interaction of the season. I feel a bit resentful about this.
Also occurred to me that the Kalinda/Dana thing might have rubbed me wrong in hindsight as well, b/c Dana's being a TAD creepy, what with her mimicry of K's wardrobe, and talking about her during sex with Cary. This is leading to creepy sweeps threesome territory, mark my words.
I severely doubt that Kenzi would ever, EVER encroach on her BFF's man in any way, shape, or form, but I always kind of felt like she had a proxy crush on Dyson... why else would she have only passing annoyance for his hot/cold treatment of Bo, but be downright dour to Lauren most of the time?
Poor Lauren. I hadn't noticed it, but someone mentioned on a message board that she's worn the same pink shirt for like 3 episodes now. GF must REALLY be out of it. (Although she still finds time to make her hair look great!:) My fave line of the epi: "This is Doctor... Lauren? The doctor?"
NO CLUE where they're going with the fake-Ash head. Maybe Lachlan wasn't really that bad of a guy to begin with, but some evil-Fae killed him and is imitating him for nefarious purposes.
Haha, yes, you have to overlook the XF 90's fashions and shoulderpads and whatnot. Just keep watching. There were and are people who never shipped M/S -- they were called "noromos" back in the day -- but I think it becomes harder NOT to as the series progresses, because their epic love, respect, and trust for one another just become so undeniable. It's definitely a slow burn, though, more so than we're used to seeing on tv in this day and age.

Ooohh, this is a good point. Kenzi does seem to have serious issues with Lauren. Though she did end up CURSING Dyson after he broke up with Bo, and apparently Baba Yega doesn't enact curses that the curser doesn't really mean. And you know what they say about a drunk man's thoughts being a sober man's words...
LOL, I totally did not notice Lauren's shirt-repetition. Poor bb. At least it's a nice shirt.
Heeee, shoulder pads. And the PANTSUITS. :p I can definitely work with a slow burn, though. I absolutely see strong friendship and trust between them, and do a little squee whenever one gets all protective of the other (gah, they're so adorbable *squeezes them*), which is what lots of good romances are built on. Apparently there's a random Scully pregnany with an indeterminate father out of the blue later on? Not sure what to say about that...but eh, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Dude, just remember that I called it, ks? I'm telling you. This way, the following things happen: The writers get the C/K sexytiemz they are so effing dead-set on without it being *serious* or *emotional* enough to follow through on, they fulfill their contractual obligations to have sweeps week Kalinda girl-on-girl action, and Dana gets to resolve her curiosities without giving up her baseball bat or whatevertf is so important to her during sex.
Siiiiigh. Of all the threesomes I desperately want to see on this show, THIS IS NOT ONE.
But anyways.
Kenzi DID curse Dyson, but eventually she always forgives him and snuggles him and treats him like a woobie. Whereas Lauren always gets a hairflip. There might also be some jealousy there too -- Kenz sorta likes being the "woman" in Bo's life, and Bo's human. But she should get over it because Lauren's better.
As you go through XF, make sure you watch the first movie at the point when it came out during the series... I'm not actually sure when that was. After S3, S4 maybe? SO GOOD.

The whole "the government is hiding aliens from us!!!" conspiracy storyline gets a bit of an eyeroll from me, but oh well, I can look past it because everything else is so goooooood.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I REALLY HOPE YOU ARE WRONG (except I did LOL at your baseball bat comment). If that happens it will be so many different kinds of bad. Let's see. Another opportunity to further alienate Alicia if she finds out? Check. More of Kalinda's bizarre relationship with sex, proving she's learned absolutely nothing in three years? Check. A bi woman who sleeps with anything that moves? Check (ugh, so much check).
Now the word "check" looks really weird to me.

I was thinking about the practice of "claiming" humans to protect them from being used as Fae toys/food/clothing/etc. Is it some kind of official process with Fae powers attached to it, or is it just that a Fae says "hey, that's my human, don't screw with him/her"? Because if it's the former, maybe Bo could make Lauren "her" human to mitigate some of the Ash's power.
But then, I'm sure she would have already thought of that if it would work. And the whole practice of claiming humans kind of creeps me out, anyway.

Now see, I'd TOTALLY believe the government covers up stuff about aliens, so I don't eyeroll at this. But I watched a lot of Unsolved Mysteries as a kid.:)
Man, I hope I'm wrong about the threesome too, but WHERE ELSE could they being going with this? D talking about K during sex with C -- and C obvs getting off on it -- was like a huge foreshadow to me. And if we're to buy that Kalinda is actually developing *feelings* for Cary (ugh), it kind of makes sense that she would do something like that... with the threesome, she'd get to indulge in sex with him, but also minimize the emotion and intimacy of the experience by sharing it with someone else.
I DON'T LIKE IT EITHER. D: Time will tell.
It felt like Kenzi's "claiming" was fairly informal, yes? But yet I also get the feeling that once one is claimed, someone else can't jump in and be like OH, and she's mine, too. So Bo "stealing" Lauren from the Ash probably wouldn't go over well. Especially when the Ash is apparently a baddie with a fake-ass head.:)

OR MAYBE aliens are already here...but we have no idea, because they aren't what we recognize as life. :-O *cue Twilight Zone music* (Actually, I think it's pretty much guaranteed that if there is life on other planets/galaxies/etc, we won't recognize it as such because it will be beyond the realm of anything we've ever imagined.)
I'm starting to sound like a complete nutjob so I think I'll shut up now. :P
Anyway. The movie sounds amaaaaaaaaaazing and I will definitely watch it at the end of season 5! I am totally in favor of extra Mulder/Scully-ness, in whatever form it may appear. I can't believe I totally missed the release of the 2008 movie. Media awareness fail.
The more I think about D bringing up K while she was having sex with C (what are we going to do if they ever bring in a character with a repeating first inital??), the weirder I find it. That's, like, Rule #1 of relationships -- don't bring up the woman your boyfriend/lover might have a bit of a thing for. UNLESS a threesome has been Dana's plan all along? I can kind of see it being Cary's idea, but I guess we don't know much about Dana yet so who knows, maybe she travels around the country inciting threesomes. ;)
I still have tentatively high hopes for next week's A/K episode (whyyyyyy do we have to wait two weeks??? *sob*), though. DON'T LET ME DOWN, TGW.
LOL, yeah, if I were Bo I probably wouldn't want to mess with the Ash. Though I guess she doesn't know about his fake head yet.

Who knows what Dana's game is. I'm not 100% sure she has one, aside than the professional agenda everybody on this show has. She probably just your typical straight girl who would be willing to make some *adjustments* for the sake of Kalinda Sharma.
I have high hopes for next epi just for the mere suggestion that Kalinda and Alicia will be in the same FRAME. Jeeshus. This is what I've been reduced to!

I don't believe in a god(s), but I'd say my certainty is more along the lines of 85-90% than 100%. It's impossible for all of the sacred texts to be right at the same time (except in the sense that what people believe does exist *for them*), so how can we possibly know which one to believe?
Eh. If there is a god(s) and he/she/it/they wanted me to believe in him/her/it/them, he/she/it/they could have made that happen. :P
I have zero expectations of ever learning in this lifetime about the existence, or lack thereof, of extraterrestrial life. This probably should bother me more than it does, but I'm quite okay with it.

I forgot to mention this before, but my bud threeguesses wrote an UHMAYZING W/A/K threesome fic back in the day that this fandom inspired such things. It's worth a read -- it IS awkward, but also beautiful and sexy and it'll make you WANT THINGS.
