I am going to fawn all day over the clothes my baby girl has gotten for her birthday. I asked for clothes, since there are enough toys here to last a lifetime, and I think there is enough now, for the whole summer.
Too bad it is snowing now... It is Easter holidays, and normally we should be seeing the sun here, not the first snow in a year. I think the clothes can stay in the closet for a couple of weeks.
It is a nice story to tell, though. When I was giving birth to my daughter, it was snowing, very surprising for the time of the year (as it is now, also). That was the last snow we saw in a whole year. 2 weeks after, we had a heat wave, and all the cute, little and warm clothes for Yante, could stay in the closet. There has been no snow until her first birthday. Ain't that some story to tell to my grandchildren in 50 years? I'll explain them how we messed up mother nature, by telling them about my girl's first year.
And, since her birthday and Easter where almost the same date this year, I am loaded with Easter eggs, the grandparents, uncles and aunts all brought me (actually, it's for the kids, but I am the choc-a-holic here) a stash of easter chocolate eggs. Anyone want some? It's Belgian chocolate of course ;)
