Favourite sentence tonight: Consider that the ice storm that hit Quebec and caused millions of dollars of damages may have been caused by the neglect of hydro suppliers.
Ummmm...y'know, I'm pretty sure that HydroQuebec would like to be in control of the weather. I think, however, that it's outside their mandate.
And I know I'm not supposed to change the meaning of this glorious work of prose. In this instance, though, I do not think this sentence means what you want it to mean.
O.k., I have my hammer of sense and my chisel of syntax.
